The experience

You're picked up from your hotel, airport, or port in Dubai or Abu Dhabi and travel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle for the full day. The guide meets you at the start and leads the tour in English or Hindi, sharing stories about the city's history and culture as you move between stops. The itinerary is flexible. You can skip sights that don't interest you or linger longer at ones that do.

The day opens at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, where the guide walks you through the white marble halls, intricate carvings, and grand domes while explaining the mosque's message of interfaith harmony. Women receive a traditional abaya if needed. Men must wear clothing that covers shoulders and knees. From there, you stroll the Abu Dhabi Corniche along the Arabian Gulf, pass Emirates Palace with its golden facade and manicured gardens, and visit Heritage Village to see a reconstructed Bedouin settlement with an old-style souk and craft workshops. You'll also stop at Qasr Al Watan, the Presidential Palace, to walk through lavish halls and gardens filled with historic artifacts and rare manuscripts.

The afternoon takes you to Saadiyat Island, where you can see the Louvre Abu Dhabi with its signature silvery dome and the "Rain of Light" effect created by sunlight through geometric patterns: a popular photo spot. If you've booked the Louvre option, entry is included. Otherwise, you view it from outside. You'll also drive past the National Aquarium and stop at Yas Island to see Ferrari World, where you have free time to explore the theme park on your own (entry not included unless you've selected that option). There's a lunch stop at Yas Mall where you can eat at your own expense. The tour ends with a photo stop at Etihad Towers, the five-tower complex featured in the Furious 7 car chase, before returning you to your starting point.

What's the dress code for the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque?

Women must wear loose, non-transparent clothing with arms and legs fully covered, and a head covering is mandatory inside the mosque. The tour operator provides a traditional abaya if you need one. Men must wear clothing that covers shoulders and extends below the knees. The operator cannot provide clothing for men. Failure to follow the dress code may result in refusal of entry.

Does the guide go inside the Louvre Abu Dhabi with me?

No, city tour guides are not permitted by the museum to enter and provide commentary inside. If you want a detailed explanation at the Louvre, a separate 45-minute guided tour can be booked directly with the museum for an extra cost.

Can I choose which attractions to visit, or is the itinerary fixed?
