The experience

The charter runs four hours and everything hinges on what you want that day. Bottom fishing happens on a comfortable deck boat with plenty of shade, and the guides know the local spots where the fish are. If you'd rather snorkel, you can use the sea scooters to move through the reefs and see the sea systems up close. You don't have to choose one or the other: many people fish for a while, then cool off in the water with the snorkel gear, then fish again. The crew keeps things moving and entertaining while you're out there.

Lunch comes on the boat, along with a cooler full of waters, soft drinks and beers so you stay hydrated in the sun. The guide is there to help with the fishing technique, point out where to look underwater, and take you to the uninhabited islands and cays nearby where you might spot wildlife. You can sit back and take in the islands and the sea if you want a quieter stretch, or stay active the whole time. It's your call.
