Step-by-step itinerary
Explore North Caicos by electric bike
- Visit Cottage Pond and learn history
- Eat at Barracuda Beach Bar
- Watch flamingoes at Flamingo Pond
- Explore Promenade and local crafts
- Taste juice and hear stories at Isaac Farm
- Relax at Horse Stable Beach
The experience
The tour starts with e-bikes and binoculars in hand. Cottage Pond opens the ride: a freshwater lagoon fed by an underwater cave that runs beneath the highway and empties at sea, ringed by local knowledge of bush medicine and island history. From there you pedal to Flamingo Pond, where the island's signature pink flamingos gather. The binoculars let you watch their distinctive walk and synchronized flight up close.
Two restaurant stops break the ride. Pelican Beach takes you to Barracuda Beach Bar, a local favorite with views across the water. Later, the Promenade stop overlooks Bottle Creek and Burial Cay (shallow turquoise water that the operator calls bucket-list worthy), and includes Miss B's restaurant for local dishes, plus a sisal plant store where you learn what the plant was historically used for and browse locally made crafts.
Isaac Farm anchors the middle of the tour. You walk through crops, meet farm animals, and taste freshly squeezed sugar cane juice and coconut water straight from the source. The farm owner, Courtney Missick, shares old-time stories about North Caicos and how people lived on the island. A final optional stop at Horse Stable Beach in Whitby offers Reeko's Beach Bar & Grill if you want to extend the day. Coconut water and Gatorade come with the tour.

Is this one for you?You ride the e-bike yourself at your own pace between stops, so the tour suits anyone who wants to move under their own power without the strain of a regular bike on island roads. If you prefer to be driven and walk only at each stop, a standard van tour would fit better.
