The experience
The tour starts daily at 3pm and covers the heart of historic Istanbul on a Segway: a two-wheeled vehicle you stand on that takes about 90 seconds to learn. You'll pass Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, the Hippodrome, Gülhane Park, the Süleymaniye Mosque, the Beyazit Mosque, Constantine's Column and the Sehzade Mosque. The route stays in Sultanahmet, the district where most of these landmarks cluster, so the ride itself becomes a way to move between them rather than a separate activity.
A professional guide rides with you and speaks English throughout the tour. The Segway handles the ground. The guide handles the history and context of what you're passing. You get a helmet, audio headset so you can hear over traffic, and waterproof gear if rain comes. The tour lasts 3 hours total, which includes the learning time at the start and the actual riding time through the Old City.
Note that this tour passes the monuments but doesn't include interior entry to any of them. You see Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace from outside and from the streets around them. If you want to go inside, you'd book those separately. The afternoon departure at 3pm works well if you've spent the morning in another part of the city or just arrived and want to see the main sights without a full day commitment.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Can I ride a Segway if I've never done it before?
Yes. The tour includes a training period of less than two minutes before you join the group, and the guide confirms you're comfortable before the ride starts. No prior experience is necessary.
What is the Hippodrome and why is it on this tour?
The Hippodrome is in the heart of Sultanahmet and once hosted chariot races, gladiator fights and major public events during the Byzantine era. It's one of the oldest structures in the district and sits between the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace, so it's a natural stop on the route.
Does the tour go inside Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque or Topkapi Palace?
No. The tour passes these landmarks and the guide explains them from outside, but interior visits are not included. You'd need separate tickets if you want to go inside any of them.
How much of the 3 hours is actual riding versus learning and stops?
The learning takes less than two minutes at the start. The remaining time covers the route through Sultanahmet, with stops at each landmark so the guide can explain what you're seeing.
