The experience

You start the morning with hotel pickup from Fethiye or Oludeniz, then head to the Dalaman River where your guide meets you with the gear. The rapids themselves are the core of the day. You're paddling, not watching, and the guide leads you through the thrilling sections of the river. Between the fast water there are calmer stretches where you can catch your breath and take in the landscape.

Midway through, the group stops to swim in the icy water, which breaks up the paddling and gives you a chance to cool off.
