The experience

Perge sits fifteen kilometers east of Antalya, a sprawling ancient city that was once the capital of Pamphylia. You walk through the remains of a Roman metropolis: the grand stadium, the public baths, the colonnaded streets. The drive from your hotel and the time spent on the site are both included in the day's total.

Aspendos holds the theater: a structure with a ninety-six-meter diameter that once seated twelve thousand spectators, built in the second century under Roman Emperor Septimus Severus. The Seljuk Turks later converted the stage into a palace. You can test the acoustics yourself, a detail most visitors don't expect to experience firsthand. After Aspendos, you stop for lunch either on the banks of the Euromedon River or at a local restaurant your guide recommends.

Side is the final stop: a seaside town where Roman temples, theaters and baths sit alongside modern cafes, shops and houses. The Apollo Temple faces the Mediterranean. The whole route, Perge to Aspendos to Side, is covered in your private vehicle with stops timed to your preference, not to a group schedule.
