The experience
A vehicle picks you up from your hotel and brings you to the ranch, where the guide walks you through safety rules and how to handle your horse before you mount. You'll ride well-trained Arab horses fitted with professional European saddles: English bridles, jumping saddles or all-purpose depending on what works for your riding style. Children from age 6 and adults without experience get led by the guide. Experienced riders go alone. If your group has mixed levels, you'll split so faster riders can trot and canter while others enjoy the walk and the view.
The route cuts through countryside where you see local village life, forests and the Tahtali mountain peak rising above the region. You'll pass through terrain that borders the famous Lycian Way hiking trek, and you might spot rabbits, foxes, turtles, mountain goats and birds along the way. A photographer travels with the group and shoots pictures of you with your horse. You can buy the ones you like. The whole outing (pickup, instruction, the ride itself and return to your hotel) takes about three hours, though the actual riding is 1 or 2 hours depending on which option you book.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, German, Arabic, Russian and Turkish.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (6 to 17 years). Children under 6 can't be included in the booking.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
How do I know if I can ride, or if I need the guide to lead my horse?
The guide assigns horses and decides whether you ride independently or get led based on your experience level, which you note when you book. Beginners and children walk and trot with the guide. Experienced riders canter alone. If your group mixes levels, experienced riders split off so they can move faster.
What's the difference between the 1-hour and 2-hour rides?
Both options follow the same route through forests and countryside with the same guide and horse. The 1-hour ride covers the shorter loop. The 2-hour ride goes further and gives you more time to canter if you're an experienced rider. Either way, you spend the same amount of time at the ranch for safety instruction and mounting.
Do I need to arrange my own way to the ranch, or is transport included?
Hotel pickup and return are included in your booking. An air-conditioned vehicle collects you from your hotel entrance and brings you to the ranch. After the ride, it takes you back to your hotel. Travel time depends on where you're staying.
What happens if I've never ridden a horse before?
The guide will lead your horse and teach you how to sit and hold the reins during the safety briefing at the ranch. You'll walk and trot through the forests and countryside at a comfortable pace, seeing the same views and wildlife as experienced riders. Children from age 6 are welcome on the same terms.
Are there weight or age limits I should know about?
Riders must weigh no more than 90 kg. Children under 6 are not recommended for this activity. The guide will also ask about any spinal injuries, pregnancy or heart conditions, as these affect whether the ride is safe for you.
