The Experience

The day starts before light. A transfer picks you up from your hotel in Cappadocia roughly an hour before sunrise—the exact time is confirmed the day before. You arrive at the launch field and watch the ground crew lay out the balloon envelope, inflate it, and prepare the basket. This is when most people take photos and video of the setup; the balloon takes shape in front of you.

Once the balloon is ready, the ground crew invites you into the basket. Your pilot gives a brief safety briefing, and within minutes the balloon lifts off.
