The Experience
The day starts with pickup from your Fethiye hotel and heads straight into Çırpı Forest for the first water fight—jeeps lined up, buckets flying, no pretense. From there the route moves through mountain villages and forest roads to Tlos, an ancient Lycian city where you stop for photos, then down to Yakapark, a natural spring area with waterfalls and cool mountain air where the group relaxes before the second water fight. Lunch comes at Saklibahçe Restaurant in the canyon area, traditional Turkish food served in nature.
The afternoon centers on Saklikent Canyon itself—one of the longest in Europe, with walls that narrow as you walk deeper into the riverbed. You wade through the cool water on foot, moving upstream into the canyon's interior. A third water fight happens by the river before the mud bath, where you soak in mineral-rich mud for a refreshing break. The drive back to Fethiye takes the same off-road route in reverse, with hotel drop-off by early evening.
The tour runs eight to nine hours total. A professional driver and guide handle navigation and commentary in English or Turkish. Children from age one travel free (infants sit on an adult's lap), and the itinerary suits families as well as groups looking for action. If water fights and mud baths feel like enough, stick with the base tour; if you want more adrenaline, rafting, zipline, and monster safari rides are available as paid add-ons at the time of booking.

What exactly is Saklikent Canyon and what do you do there?
Saklikent Canyon is one of Europe's longest canyons, located in the Saklikent National Park near Fethiye. You walk through the canyon on foot, wading through cool river water as you move upstream into the narrow passages between high rock walls. The canyon walk is the centerpiece of the afternoon, and a water fight happens in the river before you move on to the mud bath.
How many water fights are there and what happens during them?
There are three water fights across the day: one in Çırpı Forest early on, one at Yakapark, and one by the river near Saklikent Canyon. Jeeps line up and the group throws water at each other using buckets—it is a refreshing break between driving and walking stops, and part of the action-packed feel of the tour.
Is the mud bath included, or do I pay extra for it?
The mud bath is included in the base tour price. You soak in mineral-rich mud at a facility in the Saklikent area as part of the standard itinerary, with no additional charge.
What language does the guide speak?
The guide speaks English or Turkish, depending on which option you choose at checkout. Both versions follow the same itinerary and stops.
Is lunch included, and what kind of food is it?
Yes, lunch is included at Saklibahçe Restaurant in the canyon area. It is traditional Turkish food served in a natural setting. Drinks are not included and are available for purchase.
Can I add activities like rafting or zipline to this tour?
Yes, optional activities—rafting, zipline, monster safari rides, and water gun battles—are available as paid add-ons. You choose these at checkout before the tour begins.
