The experience
You ride your own scooter through the southern villages and coastal edges of Djerba, starting from the agency at 2:30 pm. The route takes you first to the edge of the famous lagoon, then down to the Port of Aghir, where traditional fishing boats sit in the harbor and nets dry on the dock. From there you head inland to Guellala, the pottery village, where you walk through a working factory and watch artisans shape clay using techniques passed down for generations.
After the pottery workshop, there's a coffee break at Djerba Azur (drinks cost extra). The museum in Guellala is optional and charges a separate entrance fee if you want to go. The tour ends at Sidi Yati Mosque, a secluded white building by the sea where you watch the sun drop straight down the horizon: the mosque sits on a point that lines up the view perfectly. You return to the agency in the late afternoon.
The scooter, helmet and gas are all included. Your guide speaks English or French and rides ahead of the group. This is not a lesson. You need to know how to ride already. Hotel pickup is available depending on which option you choose at checkout.

Is this one for you?The afternoon departure at 2:30 pm leaves your morning free for the beach or the town, and the three-and-a-half-hour ride fits before dinner. You need to ride your own scooter (the guide leads but doesn't carry anyone), so this works for confident riders who want to cover ground fast and see the working side of Djerba villages rather than sit in a van.
