Three snorkeling sites in a single speedboat run

A full-day snorkeling tour from Phuket to the Surin Islands aboard a speedboat, visiting Chong Kad Channel, Bon Bay and Pineapple Bay to see coral reefs and schools of fish. The itinerary includes a Moken village stop, buffet lunch at the national park canteen, snorkeling gear, and round-trip hotel transfer from Phuket or Khaolak.

7h–8h

Step-by-step itinerary

Full day snorkeling and island visit

  • Check-in and meet boat crew
  • Enjoy light breakfast and pick up gear
  • Snorkel at Chong Khat Bay
  • Visit Moken village or relax on Mai Ngam beach
  • Lunch at national park canteen
  • Snorkel at Bon Bay (Mae Yai Bay)
  • Snorkel at Pineapple Bay (Tao Bay)

The Experience

Seven to eight hours on the water means you leave your hotel in the early morning, meet the boat crew at check-in with a light breakfast and snorkeling gear already waiting, then head straight into Chong Kad Channel for the first reef. The speedboat cuts the travel time down, so you spend less of the day getting there and more of it in the water. After the first snorkel, you pull into the Moken village — the sea gypsies who live in the north Andaman — or stay on the beach at Mai Ngam if you prefer to skip the village stop.

Lunch is a buffet served at the national park canteen with a choice of seasonal Thai fruits, soft drinks and coffee or tea included. The menu has a vegetarian option. After you eat, you're back in the water for two more snorkeling sites: Bon Bay (also called Mae Yai Bay) and Pineapple Bay (Tao Bay), where the coral and schools of fish are the main draw. The guide stays with the group throughout and speaks English or Chinese.

Round-trip transfer picks you up from your Phuket or Khaolak hotel 15 minutes before the scheduled time, and the national park fee is already built into the price. Snorkeling equipment, life insurance and all meals are included. The tour runs as long as weather and sea conditions allow — if conditions turn rough, the operator may cancel or reschedule.

Operated by Golden Must-See

Is this one for you?At 7 to 8 hours, the tour fills most of a day but leaves your evening free — the early pickup and speedboat pace mean you're back by late afternoon, so you can rest or explore Phuket town after. The fixed schedule works if you want three snorkeling sites without building the day yourself; it doesn't work if you need a flexible start time or want to linger at one reef.

Top questions

What's the difference between Bon Bay and Pineapple Bay on this tour?

Bon Bay (Mae Yai Bay) and Pineapple Bay (Tao Bay) are both snorkeling stops on the same tour, each with coral reefs and schools of fish. The tour visits both in the afternoon after lunch, so you get two separate reef sites rather than one.

Do I need to visit the Moken village, or can I skip it?

The Moken village stop is part of the itinerary, but you have the option to relax on Mai Ngam beach instead if you prefer not to go ashore to the village.

What meals and drinks are included in the 7 to 8 hour tour?

Breakfast, soft drinks and fresh fruit come on board; lunch is a buffet served at the national park canteen with a vegetarian menu available; snacks, coffee and tea are included throughout the day.

Does the tour include hotel pickup from Phuket?

Yes, round-trip transfer from your Phuket or Khaolak hotel is included. You need to be ready in your hotel lobby 15 minutes before your scheduled pickup time.

What snorkeling gear do I need to bring myself?

Snorkeling equipment is provided on the tour. Bring your own swimwear, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a power bank if you need one; a camera is not included.

Is this tour safe for children?

Children aged 0–3 years travel free; children aged 4–11 pay a child price. The tour is not recommended for pregnant travelers, people with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health. Specialized infant seats are available.
