The experience

The boat leaves from Thongkrut Pier or picks you up at your hotel and heads straight to Koh Madsum, a small island known for the pigs that roam its shores. You have time to swim, take photos and walk the beach at your own pace before the boat moves on. A seven to ten minute ride brings you to Koh Tan, where you snorkel in front of the island to see colorful fish and coral, then eat lunch at a private restaurant on the boat or ashore. The whole outing runs four to five hours, ending with a return transfer to your hotel or back to the pier.

What you bring: snorkeling equipment is provided, along with a life jacket and bottled water. The guide speaks Thai and leads the stops. You choose how long to spend at each site within the day's schedule. Pickup is included in some options. Check which one you select at checkout, as you can also arrange your own transport to the pier instead. Lunch is included in some options as well. If you skip it, you'll need to bring snacks or eat before departure.
