The Experience

The free shuttle leaves Bangla Police Station and drops you straight onto Paradise Beach as the sun dips. By the time you step onto the sand, the main stage is already glowing—lasers cutting through the dark, the first DJ warming up the crowd. The Full Moon Festival transforms this stretch of Phuket coastline into something between a rave and a street fair: multiple zones, each with its own energy. Thai and international DJs spin house, techno, trance, reggae, and EDM across the night. You're not standing in one spot watching; you're moving between the stage, the fire dancers, the body-painting stations where UV paint turns your skin into something that glows under black light.

Fire performers work the beach—jugglers and LED artists moving through the crowd, the flames and light reflecting off the water. The body-painting tradition here is real; people line up to get covered in neon designs, and under the black lights they look like they're made of electricity. Food stalls run the length of the beach: Pad Thai, grilled skewers, local snacks, sweet things. Bucket cocktails and beer come from the beach bars, though these cost extra—the Party Pass includes either a bucket or two beers, the Premium Pass gives you two buckets or four beers. The shuttle is free both ways from Bangla Police Station, which saves you the negotiation with a taxi driver at 4am when you're ready to leave.

Security and first-aid staff work the event, so there's actual infrastructure here, not just a beach and speakers. You're dancing with travelers from everywhere—the crowd is genuinely mixed, not a single nationality owning the night. The party runs into the early morning, and the moon sits high over the water the whole time. Choose between the Premium Pass (more drinks included, a free tank top) or the Party Pass (fewer drinks, lower price). You need to be at least 20 to enter. Outside food and drinks aren't allowed, so plan to eat and drink from the vendors on site.
