A hands-on Thai cooking class in Turin where you pick and prepare 6 dishes — spring rolls, curry, soup, stir-fry, curry paste and sticky rice — in an organic kitchen garden with a native instructor. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, and you receive a PDF recipe book to recreate the dishes at home. Children from age 2 are welcome.

The Experience

The class starts with pickup from your hotel and a short trip to the school's organic garden kitchen. You'll work alongside a dedicated instructor who teaches in English, learning the traditional methods behind each dish as you go. The setup is hands-on: you choose which stir-fry you want to make (Pad Thai, fried rice with chicken, or fried chicken with holy basil), which soup (hot and sour prawn, chicken in coconut milk, or local hot and sour chicken), and which curry paste (green, Kao Soi, or Pa-Nang). Everyone prepares the spring rolls and sticky rice with mango together, so you leave with at least six recipes you've made yourself.

You cook and eat in a traditional Thai family style, working in the garden space where many of the ingredients grow. The instructor walks through each step, answering questions as you work. After the meal, you'll receive a PDF recipe book with everything you've learned, so you can make these dishes at home. The class runs about three and a half hours, ending with a safe return to your hotel.
