The experience

Hands pressed to the elevator glass, I watched the city blur by as we shot up toward the top of King Power Mahanakhon. Our guide, Pim, grinned at my wide eyes. She said everyone does that on their first ride. The elevator itself is a bit of a show, with video screens flashing scenes of Bangkok’s old markets and neon nights.
