The pickup time on your confirmation is a guess. Traffic from Bangkok to Chonburi can eat an hour either way, and the sanctuary in Khao Kheow doesn't start the clock until you're actually there, which means the 7 a.m. slot might land you at the gates at 10, or the 11 a.m. pickup might get you there by noon. Your guide will text the night before with the real time. It sounds loose, but that's because the sanctuary operates on elephant time, not tour-operator time. The animals choose whether to come to the feeding area or wander off into the 100-rai property. You can't force that, and they won't.

Once you're there, the three hours move differently than you'd expect. You walk into the forest with a certified English-speaking guide, and the elephants are just. There. Not performing.
