Bangkok Chao Phraya Dinner Cruise: Rooftop Views & Thai Dance
Dine under stars on a rooftop deck with clear river views of Bangkok’s lights
A 2-hour riverboat dinner cruise on Bangkok's Chao Phraya River aboard a brand-new three-deck luxury vessel with rooftop deck access, international buffet, welcome drink and live Thai classical dance and music. Book a rooftop seat in advance for unobstructed views of both riverbanks, or choose an indoor seat and move freely between decks. Two departure times available — 8:00–10:00 PM dinner cruise from Asiatique The Riverfront, or 4:45–6:45 PM sunset cruise from Yodpiman River Walk.
Step-by-step itinerary
Evening Chaophraya River Dinner Cruise
- Board at Asiatique The Riverfront
- Enjoy panoramic rooftop views
- Cruise past illuminated landmarks
- Dine on luxurious three-deck vessel
- Visit rooftop deck anytime
The Experience
The rooftop deck is the reason to book this one over other three-deck cruises on the river. Unlike wider rooftop designs, this one is intentionally narrow, which means you see both sides of the river clearly instead of craning past other passengers. Rooftop seats fill days ahead, so reserve one when you book; if you choose an indoor seat instead, you can still climb up at any time to watch the water and the skyline. The vessel itself is brand-new, with three full decks and a welcome drink waiting when you board.
The cruise passes eight illuminated landmarks in sequence: Wichai Prasit Fort, Wat Arun Ratchawararam, the Grand Palace, Wat Kalayanamit, Santi Chai Prakan Royal Pavilion, Asiatique The Riverfront, ICONSIAM and Rama VIII Bridge. You eat from an international buffet while live Thai classical dancers perform on deck, and the boat carries a live band. The whole thing runs 2 hours, which is long enough to move between decks and watch the light change on the water without the evening feeling rushed.
Choose your departure based on what you want to see: the 8:00 PM dinner cruise leaves from Asiatique The Riverfront after dark, so the landmarks are lit up and the city glows behind them. The 4:45 PM sunset cruise departs from Yodpiman River Walk and catches the light while it is still in the sky. Both cruises include the same food, the same show and the same price — the difference is timing and which pier you start from. You can also pick which deck you prefer: window seats on the first floor, the bow area on the second floor, air-conditioned rooms on any of the three decks, or the rooftop.
What’s included
- Welcome drink, soft drinks and water.
- international buffet dinner.
- live Thai classical dance performance and live music.
- access to all three decks including rooftop (rooftop seats must be reserved in advance).

Is this one for you?Book the rooftop seat if you want unobstructed views of both riverbanks and don't mind reserving it days ahead; choose an indoor seat if you prefer the flexibility to move between decks and visit the rooftop whenever the moment feels right. The 8:00 PM dinner cruise works if you want the landmarks lit up after dark; the 4:45 PM sunset cruise suits you if you want to watch the light change on the water while it is still in the sky.

Can I move between decks if I book an indoor seat?
Yes. Indoor seats come with access to all three decks, so you can watch from the rooftop at any time, even if you did not reserve a rooftop seat in advance.
What landmarks do we pass on the Chao Phraya River?
The cruise passes eight illuminated sites: Wichai Prasit Fort, Wat Arun Ratchawararam, the Grand Palace, Wat Kalayanamit, Santi Chai Prakan Royal Pavilion, Asiatique The Riverfront, ICONSIAM and Rama VIII Bridge.
Which departure time should I choose, dinner or sunset?
The 8:00 PM dinner cruise leaves from Asiatique The Riverfront after dark, so landmarks are lit and the city glows behind them. The 4:45 PM sunset cruise departs from Yodpiman River Walk and catches daylight on the water. Both include the same food, show and price — pick based on which light and pier location suit your evening.
What food and drinks are included?
The cruise includes an international buffet, a welcome drink, soft drinks and water. Alcoholic beverages are not included and can be purchased separately.
Do I need to book a rooftop seat in advance, or can I just go up there?
Rooftop seats must be reserved when you book, as they fill several days ahead. If you book an indoor seat, you can visit the rooftop deck freely during the cruise, but you won't have a reserved spot up there.
Is the vessel accessible for wheelchairs and strollers?
Yes. All areas and surfaces on the three-deck vessel are wheelchair accessible, and transportation options are wheelchair accessible. Infants can ride in a pram or stroller, and very small children can sit on an adult's lap.
