The day starts with hotel pickup in Arusha and a drive through scenic countryside to Tarangire National Park. The park is known for its iconic baobab trees and large elephant herds. The Tarangire River itself attracts a wide variety of animals, and the guide will be watching for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, warthogs, hartebeest, kudu, oryx, eland, gazelles, mongoose, pythons and over 550 bird species including ostriches.

At midday you stop for a provided lunch inside the park, then continue the afternoon game drive in pursuit of wildlife sightings. The smaller crowds at Tarangire compared to other northern parks mean a more peaceful, intimate safari experience. Once the afternoon drive concludes, you return to your hotel or residence in Arusha, completing the full day by evening.
