The tour starts with a flight from Zanzibar that lands at Seronera around 10:30 am. Your guide meets you with a picnic lunch ready, and you head straight into your first game drive by early afternoon, hunting for the lions and other predators the Serengeti is known for. You stay at Serengeti Safari Haven, a tented lodge in the park itself, so there's no commute between your accommodation and the wildlife.

Day two is the full-day drive: you leave after breakfast and spend the entire day on the grassy plains watching wildebeest, zebras and gazelles move across the landscape. The Serengeti's seasonally flooded plains, forests and shrub savannahs create the conditions for the annual migration, when millions of wildebeest stampede across open ground and plunge into crocodile-filled rivers while predators hunt. You eat lunch on the plains themselves and drive until evening, returning to the lodge for dinner.
