The experience
The pineapple cake class is the anchor: you mix, mold, bake and taste your own batch under guidance from instructors who walk you through each step. Once that's done, the tour shifts to the streets. Longshan Temple comes first: an ornate, centuries-old spiritual center in the heart of the city where you can move through courtyards and intricate roofwork. From there, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall sits as a grand historical monument where you can photograph and absorb the scale of the architecture.
Dihua Street is where the pace slows into wandering. The neighborhood is lined with tea shops, spice vendors and traditional goods. You have time to browse and pick up what catches your eye. If your departure is after 1pm, Raohe Street Night Market opens at 5pm and becomes your final stop: a sprawling food market where stalls serve barbecue skewers, stinky tofu, seafood and other Taiwanese street food. An option to wear a qipao (traditional Chinese dress) for photos is available on Dihua Street if you want it.
Transport is by private air-conditioned vehicle with your guide, who speaks English or Chinese. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, and you'll need to bring cash for any food or shopping. A moderate amount of walking happens across the four stops, so comfortable shoes matter. Travel insurance is provided once you share your passport details at booking.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Chinese.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (3 to 6 years); Infant (under 3): free.
What exactly do I make in the pineapple cake DIY class?
You make Taiwanese pineapple cakes from scratch: mixing the dough, molding it into shape, baking it and tasting the finished product. The instructors guide you through every step, so no prior baking experience is needed.
Is the Raohe Street Night Market included on all departures?
Raohe Street Night Market only opens at 5pm, so it's included only on afternoon tours that depart after 1pm. Morning and early-afternoon departures visit Longshan Temple, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and Dihua Street instead.
What is Longshan Temple like when I arrive?
Longshan Temple is Taipei's oldest and most ornate temple, with intricate roofwork, carved details and courtyards filled with incense and worshippers. It's an active spiritual center, not a museum, so you'll see people praying and making offerings alongside the architecture.
Can I try on traditional clothing during the tour?
Yes, on Dihua Street you have the option to wear a qipao (traditional Chinese dress) for photos and exploration of the neighborhood. It's not mandatory, but it's available if you want the experience.
How much walking is involved across the four stops?
A moderate amount of walking happens at each location: moving through temple courtyards, around the memorial hall, browsing Dihua Street's alleyways, and navigating the night market stalls. Comfortable walking shoes are essential, and the operator recommends bringing an umbrella or raincoat since Taipei weather can be unpredictable.
