The experience
The tour begins with pickup from your Zurich hotel in a modern Mercedes Benz, then heads south through Central Switzerland toward Engelberg Valley. Your private driver-guide handles the route while you settle in for the drive to the mountain resort village. Once you arrive, the cable car experience takes over: the TITLIS Rotair rotates continuously as it climbs, giving you 360-degree views of deep crevasses and snow-capped peaks all the way up to the summit at 10,623 feet (3,239 m).
At the top, the Glacier Cave (lit in blue and carved into the ice) is the first stop. From there, you step onto the Titlis Cliff Walk, Europe's highest suspension bridge, which delivers a genuine thrill as you cross over the Alpine landscape. The Ice Flyer chairlift then carries you over snowfields down to Glacier Park, where you can choose between snow activities or simply relaxing on the scenic viewing terraces with the peaks around you. Lake Trübsee sits partway down the descent and offers a quiet moment to photograph the view or grab a coffee at one of the lakeside cafes before the cable car continues its descent.
The return journey includes a stop in historic Lucerne, where you walk across the 14th-century wooden Chapel Bridge, see the Water Tower, and stroll along Lake Lucerne. Your driver-guide then completes the loop back to Zurich, dropping you at your hotel or your chosen address. The entire day runs nine hours from pickup to return.
