The Experience

You start at Chaplin's World, a museum built around Charlie Chaplin's life and films, with sets recreated in a Hollywood-style studio. From there the bus climbs into Lavaux, a UNESCO World Heritage vineyard region terraced into the steep lakeside slopes — you break here to taste local wine, cheese and juice among the vines before heading down to Vevey, a lakeside town where you have free time before boarding the cruise.

The Belle Époque is an old steamer with side-wheel paddle boxes, one of the fleet that still operates on Lake Geneva. The cruise takes you from Vevey across the water toward Chillon Castle, a medieval fortress on a small island that you enter by crossing a covered bridge into its walled courtyards. After Chillon you dock in Montreux, where you have time to walk the old town or visit the Queen's Studio at the Casino before the bus returns you to Geneva.
