St Maarten Speed Boat Charter: Snorkel & Islands Tour
Speed boat, snorkeling gear, four island stops and a captain who builds the day around what you want
A private speed boat charter in St Maarten lets you customize a half-day or full-day route with a professional captain and included snorkel equipment. Choose between uninhabited islands (Pinel and Tintamarre), the St Martin nature reserve at Creole Rock, Simpson Bay's billionaire yachts, the hidden beach at Baie Longue, or Maho Beach to watch large planes land at close range. Water, soft drinks, beer, rosé wine and rum punch are onboard; snorkeling with sea turtles and tropical fish is possible at multiple stops.

- Visit Baie Longue beach
- Watch planes at Maho Beach
The Experience
You board a premium speed boat with a captain who speaks English or French and runs the day on your terms. The boat carries snorkel gear, so you don't pack it yourself. The itinerary is a suggestion—Pinel Island, Tintamarre, Creole Rock in the nature reserve, Simpson Bay, Baie Longue or Maho Beach—but the captain adjusts based on what you want to do, the weather and how much time you have. If you want to snorkel longer at one stop, you stay. If you'd rather cruise past the superyachts in Simpson Bay and skip the islands, that's the day you get.
Snorkeling happens at multiple spots: Creole Rock holds an incredible diversity of fish in shallow water; Tintamarre Island is uninhabited and known for sea turtles; Pinel Island has very shallow waters where you might spot iguanas, plus two beach restaurants if you want lunch there. Maho Beach is the famous spot where large planes land and take off just above the water—the captain positions the boat so you watch them descend. Baie Longue is a hidden beach backed by the five-star La Samanna resort, quiet and rarely crowded.
The charter runs half-day (3.5 hours) or full-day (7 hours). Beverages are included—water, soft drinks, beer, rosé wine and rum punch stay onboard. Cruise ship passengers can book a half-day or full-day option timed to their ship's schedule; you'll provide the ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time at checkout so the captain plans the return.

What's included in the charter price?

Can I customize the route, or is it fixed?
The route is fully customizable. The itinerary lists possible stops—Pinel Island, Tintamarre, Creole Rock, Simpson Bay, Baie Longue and Maho Beach—but you decide what you want to do with the captain, and he adjusts based on weather and your available time.
What happens if I'm a cruise ship passenger?
Cruise ship passengers can book a half-day or full-day option timed around the ship's schedule. At checkout, provide your ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time so the captain plans the return in time.
