The experience

The catamaran leaves the dock at 8:30am and sails the coast of St Maarten, stopping at Long Bay Samana Beach, Happy Bay and Tintamarre Island. At each stop you swim and snorkel in shallow water where sea turtles and reef fish are common. The boat carries snorkeling gear for everyone, plus fishing rods and two paddle boards if you want to try those instead. You're in the water most of the day, so bring a rash guard or plan to reapply sunscreen between stops.

Meals and drinks run continuously. Breakfast arrives as French pastries, fresh fruit, tea and coffee before the boat leaves the dock. Mid-morning brings appetizers and snacks. Lunch is a four-course gourmet meal served on deck, and the open bar stays stocked all day.
