The experience
You board the Royal Delfin and spend your first hour on deck watching for whales and dolphins in the waters around Tenerife. The catamaran's size and design let you move freely to track the animals as they surface. When you spot them, the real difference shows: instead of binoculars and distance, you head below to the 16 panoramic 50-inch underwater windows built into the hull. From there, you watch the same whales and dolphins moving through their world beneath the surface: the only way to see them this way in Tenerife.
The crew speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French and two additional languages, so the guide narrates what you're seeing in real time. The boat has a restroom on board and is wheelchair accessible. If you've booked the 3-hour option, the second half includes a swimming stop at the secluded bay of Diego Hernandez, where you can enter the water yourself. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase onboard. They're not included in the ticket price.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Dutch.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (3 to 11 years); Infant (under 3): free.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between the 2-hour and 3-hour options?
The 2-hour mini cruise focuses on whale and dolphin watching from the deck and underwater windows. The 3-hour Atlantic Cruise includes everything in the 2-hour tour plus a swimming stop at Diego Hernandez bay.
What can I see through the underwater windows?
The 16 panoramic windows let you watch whales and dolphins in their natural habitat below the surface. The Royal Delfin is the only catamaran in Tenerife with this submarine vision setup, so you see the animals from a perspective other boats can't offer.
Is seasickness a concern on this catamaran?
The boat is a catamaran, which is more stable than a single-hull vessel, but the tour is not recommended for people prone to seasickness. If you're concerned, you may want to consider the calmer bay tours instead.
Are meals included in the cruise price?
No. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase onboard, but lunch and other food are not included in the ticket price.
