The experience

The tour starts with a glide past Seville Cathedral, one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world, then moves to the Royal Alcázar: a palace complex blending Moorish and Christian architecture across centuries. From there you pass the General Archive of the Indies, a UNESCO World Heritage Site holding documents from Spain's colonial history, and continue to the Royal Tobacco Factory, now part of the University of Seville. The route covers ground quickly without the fatigue of walking, so you see more in the hour than you would on foot.

Plaza de España is the stopping point: you get 10 minutes to stand in front of the square's curved colonnade and ceramic tilework without the guide narrating. Time to photograph and absorb the scale of it. The tour finishes in María Luisa Park, where you spend another 10 minutes moving slowly through the green space before heading back. A professional guide rides with you and provides commentary throughout, explaining what you're passing and the history behind each stop.

The Segway itself handles the navigation, so you're not managing a bike or scooter. You stand on the platform and lean to steer. A helmet is provided and required.
