The experience
What does it take to make a wine that carries the weight of the Ribera del Duero region? At Bodega Martín Berdugo, the answer starts in the soil. Your tour walks through the different alluvial layers that feed the vineyard, then follows the grapes from harvest into the winery itself. The winery uses gravity technology in the brewing room. A choice made to stay as unobtrusive as possible and let the fruit speak. You'll move through the barrel room, where the calm atmosphere and time do the work of maturing the wine.
The tasting comes at the end, guided by one of the winery's own colleagues and reserved for your group alone. You taste two wines from Martín Berdugo's portfolio, paired with traditional local cheeses and bread. If you eat vegan, let the winery know when you book and they'll have options ready. The whole visit runs about 90 minutes, and the winery is set up for wheelchairs. Strollers and infant seats are available if you need them.
