The tour runs about two hours and covers Olot's volcanic landscape and cultural history on foot. You'll download the WeGoTrip app before arrival to access both the Espai Cràter ticket and the audio guide, so there's no queue at the museum entrance. The app delivers the walking route and narration directly to your phone as you move through the town.

Espai Cràter sits inside a former quarry and uses immersive exhibits and multimedia to explain the science and geology of the volcanic region. The self-guided walk then takes you past the Torres de Sant Francesc (towers offering wide views over Olot and its surrounding hills), and through the parish church of Saint Stephen, Casa Gaietà Vila, the Principal Theatre and Casa Museu Can Trincheria. You'll stand on an extinct volcano in the middle of town and see dark volcanic stone built into historic architecture, tracing both the geological forces that shaped the place and the artistic traditions, especially the 1880 rise of Olot's saint-making workshops under Joaquim Vayreda. The route passes Museu de la Garrotxa, housed in the old Hospici designed by Ventura Rodríguez, before finishing at Parc Nou.
