Marbella Sailing: 2-Hour Yacht Trip Costa del Sol

Two hours on the water: sailing, swimming and the possibility of dolphins

A 2-hour sailing trip from Marbella along the Costa del Sol coastline, where you steer or relax on deck, swim in the Mediterranean, try stand-up paddleboarding, and watch for dolphins. Drinks, snacks and snorkelling gear are included. A guide speaks English, Spanish or French. A minimum of three people is required for the trip to run.

The experience

You board a sailing yacht in Marbella and head out along the coast for two hours. On windy days the sails go up and you feel the boat respond to nothing but the wind and the water: no engine noise, just the sound of waves breaking against the hull. On calmer days the engine takes over so the trip still happens. Either way, you're out at sea in the open air with the Mediterranean in front of you. Dolphins sometimes appear and swim alongside the boat as if they're part of the route.

What you do with the time is yours. Some people stay on deck and sunbathe. Others jump into the water for a swim whenever the boat slows. If you want to try something more active, stand-up paddleboards are on board and ready to use. Snorkelling gear is there too if you spot something worth looking at below the surface. Complementary drinks (both soft and alcoholic), and snacks keep you fed and hydrated the whole way.

The trip runs with a guide who speaks English, Spanish or French, and children from age 5 are welcome. A minimum of three people is needed for the experience to depart, though they don't have to arrive as a group. If the minimum isn't met, the activity is cancelled and you're refunded.
