The experience

The newly renovated Port of Malaga is where you start, rolling along the water on an electric bike that handles the hills without the sweat. The motor kicks in when you need it, so you're not grinding uphill in the Mediterranean heat. You're just pedaling at whatever pace feels right. The port itself has changed a lot in recent years, and riding through it gives you a sense of how the city has opened itself up to the water instead of turning its back.

From there, the route climbs toward Gibralfaro Castle, but the e-bike means you're not exhausted when you arrive at the viewpoint.
