You'll learn the history of espadrilles from master artisans, choose your size and lace color, stitch the shoe yourself, and leave with a wearable souvenir. The experience

You meet at the workshop in Marbella filled with materials, tools and finished products. The artisans walk you through how espadrilles went from a humble people's shoe to a modern fashion trend, then hand you the pieces. You choose the size of the base, the stitching style, and the color and type of the laces. There are different combinations to pick from. Then you learn the stitching process itself, guided through each step, and the different ways to lace them up when you're done.

The whole thing takes two hours. By the end you've made something with your hands that actually fits your feet, and you leave with it on. That's the point: a pair of espadrilles you stitched yourself is a story you can wear and tell. The workshop also runs team-building versions if you're booking for a group.

You can choose the classic version or upgrade to a premium base (wedge, heel or platform) depending on what you want the finished shoe to look like. Either way, the apron, needle, ribbon laces and base are all provided. Cava or a non-alcoholic drink comes with snacks during the session.
