The Experience
The staff at Native Diving Lanzarote don't talk much about what you can't do — they just hand you the helmet and the wetsuit and walk you through how the adapted wheelchair works in the water. It's a straightforward piece of equipment, built specifically so you can move freely underwater instead of sitting on the dock. The whole operation runs with three instructors in the water with you, which means someone is always close enough to adjust, point things out, or just make sure you're comfortable before you go deeper.
Sea Trek and diving are the two activities available, and they're both supervised the same way. You get the helmet, the wetsuit, and the underwater wheelchair as part of the package — nothing extra to rent or figure out on your own. The water off Lanzarote is clear enough that you can actually see what you're doing, and the instructors know the spots well enough to take you somewhere worth the effort. The whole experience is built around the idea that you should be in the water doing the thing, not watching from the side.
Getting there isn't complicated. The dive center is wheelchair accessible, the transportation options nearby are set up for wheelchairs, and all the surfaces you'll walk on before you get in are flat and manageable. Once you're suited up and in the adapted wheelchair, the water takes over — you're not thinking about ramps or curbs anymore, just about what's in front of you and the three people making sure you stay safe while you're looking.
