Start with a boat trip along Cape North, passing through the legendary "Heaven's Door" and stopping at the island's wildest coves. After the boat returns, a 4x4 Land Rover takes you inland to viewpoints over Es Vedra that no other vehicle can reach. The rock itself—a 400-meter limestone spike rising from the sea—stays visible the whole drive, getting closer and more dramatic as the afternoon light shifts. The 4x4 stops at several overlooks; you walk between them and take in the scale of the place without the effort of a full hike.
The day ends with a 50-minute guided hike through unspoiled terrain to one of the island's most secret viewpoints. The trail is easy and leads to caves and rock formations the guide points out along the way. You arrive at the overlook as the sun reaches the horizon, and a local catering service unpacks a picnic: sandwiches, bread, cold cuts, hummus, olives, cheese, charcuterie, fresh fruit, and homemade sangria.
