The experience

The tour starts at Plaza Nueva and moves through the layers of Granada's history. Your guide walks you through what daily life looked like during the Nasrid period, when Moorish Granada ruled, and explains the Reconquest that reshaped the city. The Royal Chapel sits at the center of that story: the place where the monarchs who ended Muslim rule were buried, and where that collision of cultures is written into the stone.

From there the route tightens into the Albaicín, the old quarter where the streets narrow enough that two people can barely pass. You'll cross through the Corral del Carbón, a 15th-century caravanserai, and the Alcaicería, the former silk market where merchants once traded goods from across the Mediterranean. The walk ends at Mirador Carvajales, a viewpoint where the city spreads below you and the patterns of the old medina become visible from above.
