The experience
You board directly from the beach in comfortable shoes you can remove, then sail north for about an hour past Sa Caleta inlet and its castle, Cala Trons, Cala Gran, Sa Goita, Canyelles, Rajols, Morisca, Llorell and Llevadó: the named coves and rock formations that mark the Costa Brava shoreline. The catamaran is large and built for this route, with a solarium net for sunbathing and a trampoline at the waterline once you anchor.
After an hour of sailing, the crew anchors in a sheltered cove near the rocks. You swim and bathe from the mats and trampoline, or snorkel if you bring a mask (rentals available for €10 cash deposit, returned when you leave). Music plays while the crew sets up the outdoor barbecue buffet: pasta with tomato sauce or salad, beef burgers and marinated gluten-free chicken cubes, fruit salad. Beer, sangria, soft drinks and water are included throughout. You stay anchored for roughly two hours, then sail back to the starting point with music as the sun moves lower.
Bring a swimsuit, towel, sun cream, hat and sunglasses. Warm clothes matter on off-season days. The activity suits all fitness levels. Infants and small children can travel in a pram or stroller. Pets are not allowed.
