The Experience
You start at the tour office for a supervised training session—10 minutes to get comfortable on the Segway before the group heads out. Once everyone has the basics down, you roll into the Gothic Quarter in front of the ancient Roman Wall, then glide toward the Old Port where the Columbus Monument marks the historical entrance to the city. The route covers a broad sweep of Barcelona: Ciutadella Park with its monumental fountain, the Arc de Triomf where street artists gather, the Barcelona Cruise Port and its yachts, then the Olympic Port built for the 1992 Games.
The tour keeps moving to show you as much as possible without stopping for museum entries—the goal is sights and views, not indoor time. You pass the França Railway Station, the "David and Goliath" sculpture in the Olympic Village, and the coastal defense walls of Baluard de Migdia and Muralla de Mar. The route ends along Barcelona's urban beaches, where you see Mar Bella and the contemporary Parc del Fórum with its striking waterfront architecture and views across the Mediterranean.
Groups stay small—maximum 6 people per guide—so the pace stays manageable and the guide can give real attention to each rider. You choose between a 2-hour mini-group tour, a 3-hour option to cover more ground, a 5-minute test drive or photo session, or a 2-hour private tour if you want the route tailored. Helmets in all sizes are mandatory and provided; water is included. The tour runs in any weather, though you'll want comfortable shoes and clothing—raincoats are on hand if needed, but bringing your own is wise.

What is the Gothic Quarter and why does the tour start there?
The Gothic Quarter is Barcelona's medieval core, built partly on top of the ancient Roman city. The tour begins in front of the Roman Wall here, so you're starting at the oldest layer of the city before heading toward the modern waterfront and Olympic sites.
Can children ride a Segway on this tour?
Children must be at least 12 years old to join the tour, but city law sets the minimum age to ride a Segway at 16. For younger riders aged 12–15, the operator provides e-bikes suited to children at the same price, so the whole group can stay together.
How much ground does the tour actually cover?
The tour spans from the Gothic Quarter and Ciutadella Park in the city center all the way to the Olympic Port, urban beaches and Parc del Fórum on the waterfront—roughly the full sweep of central Barcelona's main attractions and neighborhoods.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The tour operates in all weather conditions. Raincoats are provided, though bringing your own is recommended. In case of severe weather, the operator offers an alternative date and time that works for both parties.
Do I need to bring an ID?
Yes, a valid ID or passport is required at the time of the tour; a copy is also accepted. This is checked before you start the training session.
What's included and what costs extra?
The tour includes the Segway rental, helmet, bottled water, the safety training session and the guide. Museum or building entries are not included—the focus is on outdoor sights and views. Gratuities for the guide are optional.
