The experience
You board a 36-foot sailboat built by a small Brittany shipyard: one of only 46 of its kind in the world. The boat holds a maximum of nine people, which is the whole point: no crowds, no rushed schedule, just you and a handful of others on the water. Within the first hour you're paddleboarding in the calm waters off Barcelona, or lounging on deck with an aperitif (drinks and pica pica included) while the skyline builds in front of you. The binoculars stay within reach so you can pick out landmarks from angles you won't see from land.
The host is a sailor who knows the local waters and the city's history, and speaks English, Spanish and French. If the weather holds and you're up for it, there's a swimming break in the clear water. Families travel here too. The boat carries child-sized life jackets and games for the little ones, so the experience doesn't narrow to adults only.
The whole outing runs two hours. You're not tied to a schedule that forces you through five stops. You're on the water for as long as the tour lasts, moving at the pace of the sail.
