The experience
The catamaran leaves Cambrils harbor at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., or 4 p.m., depending on which trip you pick. The morning and midday sailings run three hours and include a meal. The afternoon departure also runs three hours but carries drinks only. You swim in open water at a designated stop, and snorkel goggles let you look down at the seabed while you're there. The open bar runs the whole time, pouring beer, sangria, cava, water and soft drinks without limit.
On the 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. trips, you get a veal cheeseburger and deluxe baked potatoes. Vegetarian meals are available with 48 hours' notice: email or WhatsApp the operator with your reservation number and headcount. There's no gluten-free option. A restroom is on board. Bring sunscreen, a towel, sunglasses and a swimsuit. The boat's width makes it more stable than a monohull, so motion is gentler even on rougher days.
Getting to the port takes planning in July and August, when taxis in nearby Salou fill up fast. Book a taxi two hours ahead, or take the bus. They run every 20 minutes and stop 300 meters from the boat. Infants can travel in a pram or stroller, though they must sit on an adult's lap during the sail. Alcohol is for adults only (18+).

Is this one for you?Choose the 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. departure if you want a meal included with your drinks. Pick the 4 p.m. trip if you prefer a shorter afternoon on the water with drinks only. The boat's width keeps it stable and steady, so it suits anyone who gets queasy on narrower hulls.
