The experience

You leave Costa Teguise heading north toward the island's highest point, climbing to 670m at Peñas del Chache. The buggy handles the volcanic roads through Guatiza, Charco del Palo, Mala and Las Nieves as you navigate terrain that feels more lunar than Mediterranean. Mirador de las Nieves sits at 608m with views across to Famara beach: the stop where most travelers spend time with a camera.

From there the route drops into Teguise to see the old lime kilns, stone structures where lime was extracted for building until the mid-20th century. You'll drive the old Mala Dam road before heading back to Costa Teguise. Goggles are provided. Bring a jacket for wind at altitude. The guide travels with your group and speaks your language, and pickup from your hotel is included in the price (transport itself costs an extra 5 euros per person).

Operated by H2O Sports Lanzarote - Buggy Experience Lanzarote

Is this one for you?The tour runs 3 hours of continuous driving across rough volcanic terrain, so you'll need a moderate level of fitness and comfort handling a buggy on uneven roads. It's built for drivers who want to steer themselves rather than watch from a passenger seat, and families often book the 4-seater to share the experience.
