Ten slopes and a sledding hill, 40 minutes from Seoul

A day trip from Seoul to Jisan Forest Ski Resort includes round-trip shuttle pickup from downtown, a professional English-speaking guide, and your choice of a ski lesson with equipment or a shorter intro with access to the slopes and sledding hill. The resort sits 40 minutes away in Icheon's hills and operates only during winter season. You pick your package at checkout—full ski with a 2-hour lesson, essential gear with a 30-minute lesson, or shuttle and resort access alone.

The Experience

The shuttle leaves downtown Seoul and arrives at Jisan in 40 minutes, a resort that has run since 1996 among white pines in Icheon's hills. Ten slopes range from gentle 7–12° runs suited to first-timers to steeper terrain, and the resort gets around 200 centimeters of snow annually. A sun-kid escalator moves beginners up the learning slopes without the usual chairlift climb, and five high-speed lifts serve the rest of the mountain. Your guide speaks English and will be with you through the day.

What you do depends on which package you choose at checkout. The full ski option includes a 2-hour lesson with equipment rental; the essential gear option gives you 30 minutes of instruction and the same access to slopes; the shuttle-only option skips the lesson and lets you rent gear on-site. Families often head straight to the sledding hill instead of skiing, and the resort has European-style cafes where non-skiers can warm up with ramyeon or watch from the chairlift. A terrain park sits on the mountain for anyone wanting tricks.

The day runs 8 hours total, and the shuttle returns you to your downtown hotel. Lunch is not part of the package, but cafes and restaurants are on the resort. If you want to switch from skis to a snowboard partway through, that costs extra at the resort. The sledding hill charges separately too. Winter season only—the resort does not operate in other months.
