The Experience

The bottle service here is wild; they bring out trays stacked with glasses and everyone just pours for each other. It’s kind of intimate, actually, sharing drinks with strangers who don’t feel like strangers after an hour or two. Someone ordered tequila shots (not my idea), and we all cheered in three languages.

By the time we got to Mansion Itaewon, I’d lost track of time—no one seemed to care anyway. The club is sleek but not snobby; dark corners lit by blue neon, DJs flipping between EDM and hip-hop. There were locals mixed in with travelers like us, all moving together under those lights. At some point I remember thinking: this is what Seoul nightlife really feels like—not just drinking but connecting with people you’d never meet otherwise.
