A day tour from Seoul to Alpaca World and Gangchon Rail Park combines animal encounters with rail biking along a mountain and river landscape. You meet and feed alpacas, deer, rabbits, goats, camels, owls and eagles at one of Korea's largest animal farms, then pedal an 8.5-kilometer course on a four-seater rail bike over tracks that follow the Bukhan River through Gangwon Province. A licensed guide in English or Chinese leads the day; the tour departs from Myeongdong, Hongik Station or Dongdaemun and returns by 19:00. Lunch is not included and you choose from local restaurants your guide recommends, or anywhere else you prefer.

The Experience

The day starts with Gangchon Rail Bike at 10:45. You pedal a four-seater rail bike over an eight point five kilometer course laid along a former railway track, passing mountain, river and countryside scenery as you move through Gangwon-do. The route mixes pedaling sections with a train ride, so the effort is broken up and the views shift between what you power yourself and what carries you. The Bukhan River runs alongside much of the track.

At 14:00 you arrive at Alpaca World, Korea's largest alpaca pasture. You walk among the animals, pet them and feed them directly. The farm also holds deer, rabbits, goats, camels, owls and eagles, so the encounter spans more than one species. Children from age 3 can participate; infants can ride in a pram or stroller, and small children can sit on an adult's lap. The visit is hands-on rather than observational.

Your guide speaks English or Chinese throughout the day and travels with the group in an air-conditioned vehicle. The tour requires a minimum of eight people; if that threshold is not met three days before departure, you receive a full refund by email. Lunch falls outside the tour price, and your guide will point you toward local restaurants averaging KRW 15,000–20,000 per person, though you are free to eat anywhere. Drop-off happens at Hongik University station only at 19:00, so confirm your preferred departure point—Myeongdong at 9:00, Hongik Station at 8:25, or Dongdaemun at 9:15—when you book.
