Summary

Seoul Hanbok Photo Session at Gyeongbokgung for Families & Groups

You’ll get to dress up in traditional hanbok, stroll through Gyeongbokgung’s gardens and courtyards, and have a pro capture real moments—not just poses. Perfect for families or groups who want more than selfies from their Seoul trip.

experience

What’s the experience like?

The morning air around Gyeongbokgung always feels a bit crisp, even in spring. We met right outside the 'Yes Hanbok' shop—easy to spot, just a few steps from Exit 4 of Gyeongbokgung Station. Inside, racks of hanboks in every color you can imagine lined the walls. Picking one took longer than I thought; there’s something about seeing yourself in those bright silks that makes you want to try them all. The staff helped with hair styling too, adding little braids and ribbons if you wanted. It felt like getting ready for a festival, not just a photoshoot.

Once we stepped out into the palace grounds, our photographer—Jun—made us feel like we belonged there. He’d been doing this for years, so even my dad (who hates cameras) relaxed after a few jokes and tips on how to stand. We wandered through shaded paths by the lake and stopped near stone walls where the light hit just right. I remember hearing the faint sound of drums from somewhere inside the palace, mixing with laughter from other visitors. Jun snapped away as we walked under those tall red pillars and paused by old wooden doors that looked straight out of a movie set. He showed us some shots on his camera—they looked way better than anything I’ve ever taken on my phone.
