The experience

Your driver-guide picks you up at your hotel and drives an hour to Korean Folk Village, where you walk through more than 260 reconstructed houses from the Joseon Dynasty (homes of different classes, workshops, a city office), and watch live performances: Tight Rope Dance, Horse Riding, Traditional Wedding Ceremony. The village is the largest of its kind in Korea, so there's real ground to cover and real choices about where to linger.

After the folk village, you head 20km to Everland, Korea's largest amusement park. The park has Lost Valley (a safari-style drive-through), a water park section, and the T-express wooden roller coaster, among other rides and attractions. Because this is a private group tour, you're not locked into a fixed schedule between the two stops. If your family wants to spend more time at one place and less at the other, you can rearrange. The standard tour runs 9 hours. If you want to stay longer, you can pay an overtime surcharge of US$20 per hour on-site.

Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, as is entry to both attractions. Bring cash or cards for meals and any extras at the park. The tour does not include lunch. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and the operator notes that the day is not suitable for travelers with spinal injuries or significant cardiovascular concerns.
