A 4-hour shared cycling activity in Franschhoek that weaves between vineyards and stops at exclusive farms for wine tastings. The route is flexible. You choose the distance and pace with your guide. One wine tasting is included. Additional tastings are optional. Groups stay under 10 riders, and children from age 6 are welcome.

The experience

The day starts on carefully routed tracks that run through the Franschhoek valley among the vines. You cycle at a leisurely pace (this is not a race), and the guide adjusts the distance on the fly if the group wants to shorten or lengthen the ride. Water stops happen to coincide with wine tastings at some of the most beautiful farms in the region, so you taste while you recover. One tasting is built in. You can add more at checkout if you want them.

You'll ride a bike fitted with a helmet and follow a live English-speaking guide through the valley. The group maxes out at 10 people, though many departures run smaller. The whole experience takes 4 hours, which gives you a full picture of the landscape without eating the whole day. Moderate fitness helps. The cycling is steady rather than strenuous, but it is cycling, and the terrain is what it is.
