The boat leaves Quay 5 at V&A Waterfront at either 11am or 1pm, depending on your choice. You're aboard one of two vessels—either the Esperance, a 16-metre schooner with twin masts, or the Serenity One, a 12-metre state-of-the-art catamaran—and the skipper decides the day's route based on wind speed and direction. In summer, that often means crossing Table Bay toward Milnerton Lighthouse; in winter, the course typically runs along the Clifton coastline or out toward Robben Island. Either way, you get Table Mountain framed against open water and the working sails overhead.

The hour unfolds at the pace the conditions allow. Chilled refreshments come throughout the sail, and a cash bar is available if you want something beyond that. If you'd rather have lunch, you can add it on at checkout.
