The experience
You arrive in Inverness with a free afternoon and want to taste real Scottish whisky without the tourist crowds. This private tasting puts you in front of over 250 bottles and gives you three carefully chosen drams to explore. Each sample is a 25ml measure, selected to show you how cask type shapes flavor: the core thing that separates one whisky from another. The session runs about 55 minutes, long enough to slow down and actually taste, short enough to fit between other plans.
Your guide is a live expert in English who knows the bottles and knows how to pitch the tasting to where you stand. If you're picking up whisky for the first time, they'll build the session around the fundamentals. If you've been drinking it for years, they'll take you deeper into the craft. The three options you choose at checkout (Introduction, Enthusiast, or Professional) set the complexity and the stories behind each bottle. What doesn't change is the hands-on part: you're tasting, not watching a video or listening to a lecture. The boutique itself stocks what they pour, so if something lands with you, you can buy it on the spot.
What’s included
- Three 25ml whisky samples selected to show different cask types.
- a live guide in English who tailors the tasting to your experience level.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What are the three whisky options I can choose at checkout?
The tasting comes in three levels: An Introduction to Whisky for newcomers, Whisky For Enthusiasts for people with some experience, and Whisky Tasting: Professional for serious drinkers. You pick one when you book, and your guide tailors the session to that level.
How much whisky do I actually get to taste?
You receive three 25ml measures total: one from each whisky your guide selects. That's enough to explore the flavor properly without overdoing it, and the guide chooses them based on which option you picked.

It's a private tasting, so it's just you and your guide. The session is tailored to your knowledge level and pace.
