The experience

You step off the street and into the Akilah Cafe at Davis College, where one of the student guides is already waiting. She's a current or former Akilah student (one of Rwanda's next generation of leaders), and she'll be walking you through the campus first, explaining how the college works, what the students study, and what they're building here. The whole place has this quiet energy. You can feel people actually working toward something. After the overview, you'll head out on foot toward Nyamirambo, one of Kigali's oldest neighborhoods and the one where many of these students live while they study.

The walk itself is the point.
