The experience
Day one centers on the Nyungwe Canopy Walk, where you move along suspended walkways above the lush rainforest, taking in the biodiversity and views from inside the forest rather than below it. The same day includes a visit to tea plantations where you learn how tea is made and taste a fresh cup while looking out over the green slopes. Refreshing snacks and soft drinks are provided along the way, and you choose which stops matter most to you, whether that's museums exploring the region's culture or a hike up to Ndaba Rock for the views.
Day two brings you to Kamiranzovu Swamp, a wetland deep in Nyungwe National Park and home to the source of the White Nile. The swamp is untouched wilderness with its own rich animal and plant life. Both days run without accommodation, so you return to your hotel each evening. The vehicle is air-conditioned, and your guide speaks English or French.
