The guide picks the lake based on weather and access conditions on the day you arrive, then leads you on the water for two to three hours. Children from age six are welcome, and pickup from your location is included.

The experience

Once you meet your guide, you'll head to one of the lakes in the area, which one depends on the weather that day and the local transport and access conditions. Your guide is a professional driver who knows Romania well and speaks English fluently. Italian, French and German are also available. He provides all the paddling gear and teaches you what you need to know before you get on the water, then guides you through the session itself.

Groups stay small, capped at four people, so there's room to ask questions and move at a pace that suits everyone. The whole outing runs two to three hours. Pickup is included, so you don't arrange your own transport to the lake.
